Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel is in a fantastic location, overlooking the harbor and Bryygen, with excellent views. The rooms were a bit tired, needing cleaning and updating, but the view of the harbor was superb. The service was attentive, though there were issues with stocking items and poor wifi signal in some rooms. The dining experience was excellent with a vast choice of tasty food. The location is very central, making it easy to get around the city, by the fish market, and across from the World Heritage area of Bergen.
The hotel had a very nice view of Bergen's harbour and the fish market, but the room itself was small, shabby, too hot, and noisy due to the courtyard air conditioning unit. It felt more like a cheap B&B in need of renovation rather than matching the status and price suggested.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Bergen, offering unexpected value for the money with its perfect position near the main tourist attractions. The rooms, though slightly small, are cozy and functional. The staff is welcoming and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay overall. The dining experience is incredibly expansive and delicious, and the facilities are well-maintained.
Even though the hotel had some noisy nights and the rooms were dark, old, and very cold, with small size and equipment noise, my experience was mixed. On the bright side, the breakfast was bustling but offered a variety of options. The service, despite being slow at times, was quite friendly and helpful.
The hotel room wasn't quite as expected for the price but still had a nice view. It was a bit worn out inside. The service was decent but lacked some helpful information. The location was excellent, right in the heart of Bergen. The dining offered good variety and quality. Overall, it was an okay stay with room for improvement.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, especially because of its fantastic location in the heart of Bergen with stunning views of Bryggen and Floyen. The rooms were a bit dated but suitable for families with older kids. The service had some hiccups, with issues like poor Wi-Fi signals and occasional grumpiness. Dining was exceptional, exceeding expectations but sometimes running out of items if you arrived later. Overall, a great option for families looking to explore the city center.
The hotel offers big, fantastically decorated rooms with amazing views of the lake and mountains. However, the rooms looked tired and worn, not matching the photos, and there is not much to do in the area.
My stay at the hotel had its highs and lows. The rooms were disappointing, being small and dated, although the bathroom was modern and had good space. The view overlooking Bryggen was absolutely stunning. The service was a mixed bag, with very friendly and helpful staff overall, but some seemed unhappy dealing with early guests. The location was unrivalled, central to downtown attractions, and right alongside Bergen Quay with its iconic wooden buildings. The dining experience was very good, exceeding expectations despite some disgruntled customers. Overall, the hotel offers a great location with a mix of positive and negative aspects to consider.
